Changes to secured field still visible in history

We're currently evaluating the Field Security PlugIn and while preliminary tests looked very promising we encounterd a problem with the visibility.

We defined s field security scheme, added a field and configured access to the field to be limited to one Jira user group.
The PlugIn behaves as expected and properly hides the field to users not being in that group in
- the create/edit screen
- issue filters and
- the activity screen

Unfortunately the field value change is still visible in the History tab of the view issue screen which makes the PlugIn unusable.

We tested it with existing items (created before the Plugin installation) and new ones but the result is always the same.

Is there an additional configuration step we missed to hide it really everywhere?

(tested with Plugin version: 1.4.47_712, JIRA Version: 7.12.3, JIRA Service Desk 3.15.3)
